ARE YOU READY FOR 3CIA’S NATURAL COSMETICS?

It is a fact that our world is growing and evolving. In recent times we desire products that not only beautify us but supports our wellbeing and the environment. Leading brands around the world are joining the natural/organic movement. Sierra Leone is no different!

Meet with wonder woman Patricia Jeneba Jamiru, commonly known as JJ. CEO and founder of 3cia Natural Cosmetics.  She is pursuing a degree in sociology at Fourah Bay College while following her passion for entrepreneurship.

When you live your life with an appreciation of coincidences and their meanings, you connect with the underlying field of infinite possibilities – Deepak Chopra

The idea came about by sheer coincidence for she had a desire to maintain a healthy hair, which proved futile with all the chemical processing she went through. She took a bold step and did the big chop!

That period was challenging! She decided to start using only organic/ natural products on her hair, this led to the birth of 3cia cosmetics.

At the beginning it was very difficult to find hair products for black women with natural hair, so she started ordering from overseas. Even with these products, it was hard to find the right solution for my hair as it was always breaking.

She found out that despite all of her efforts her hair was not 100% dandruff free, and it was becoming very expensive to maintain. That was the ‘light bulb’ moment. She needed to find a solution that worked for her. She started experimenting with ingredients.  Then she moved on to trying it on and sharing with  friends and family. Boom!  She stumbled upon a simple formula that worked for her hair.

This accomplishment gave her the push to try the same process for her body lotion. 3cia cosmetics are natural and made in Sierra Leone with a shea butter base. These products serve all hair and skin types.

In no time she met her goals for the business. Her hair and skin were healthy and she was successfully building a community that had the desire for the same. Earning respect not only for herself but for things ‘MADE IN SIERRA LEONE’

JJ is ready to build her empire, she wants more, and so she has launched her full on cosmetics line, which includes a make-up line, lipstick and eyelashes.

The 3cia Woman is one who sees her hair and skin as an accessory, a style, a culture and a display of our African heritage.
