7 EASY TIPS TO TRANSFORM YOUR BODY- SALLY WILLIAMS

Sally Williams was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to immigrant parents from Sierra Leone. She likes to introduce herself as a fitness enthusiast with a background in Public Health and Nutrition. She schooled in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Master’s Degree in Project Management.

When she was a young girl, she had always wanted to do humanitarian work or Nursing. She did not quite end up on that path but life landed her in the field of Public and Nutrition.
As an athlete in school she picked up the idea of fitness at a very young age. She played basketball and ran track in High School and then went on to play Women’s Basketball at a Division II University where she obtained her education.

She never for once imagined that she would later on in life become obsessed with it. One way to transform your life is to take care of your body. Here are some fitness tips and lifestyle changes to keep you fabulous.

1. Fitness is a lifestyle choice.

I think in defining fitness it should be left to the individual and what their personal goals are.

Fitness for me is a refined energy.
Fitness is a healthy lifestyle.
Fitness is new found energy.
Fitness is state of well-being.
Fitness is being strong.
Fitness is self-care.
Fitness is loving yourself.
Fitness is being confident.

2. ‘You’re only one workout away from a good mood’

Working out gives me life! It motivates me and gets me thinking. On days that I do not have a good workout,  I feel like a bump on a log. That’s just plain truth.

3. Exercise is important. You will need to install a fitness regime!

My exercise regime consists of a 30 minute HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout. That usually consists of either a cardio, plyometric or strength component. After I do that, I follow up with weight training depending on the day, upper body or lower body workout. The program I follow is a Les Mills program called GRIT that I am actually a certified trainer in. I guess it is easy for me to do that particular program because I also teach it. I absolutely love it and always look forward to teaching it during the week! Join a gym today!

4. Exercising makes you reduce stress and helps with aging.

I am and I feel very beautiful. They say “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” I think being very confident in yourself helps you to stay beautiful on the inside and that in turn displays on the surface. Always remember to drink plenty of water! Plus we need to feed our souls with nourishment: Great activities and good company helps.

5. The secret to long life.

Every person should find the time to do at least 30 minutes of physical activity every day. Even a brisk walk is proven to reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke. Exercise has always shown to improve cardiovascular health therefore preventing diseases and in turn creates a meaningful impact on health and life.

6. Fitness improves your love life.

I feel that there is a direct relationship between beauty and love and fitness multiplies that effect. Our beauty is first perceived by how we look externally. To maintain a certain look, we must adopt a lifestyle change. Beauty is not viewed by everyone in the world as the same. What may be beautiful in one’s eyes may not be beautiful for the next person.
In the same token, something or someone may not be beautiful, however, but you still love them as they are. Beauty captures your eye and love catches your heart. There is something called unconditional love that I thinks encompasses both attributes.
