AYESHA KAIKAI: I’M 13 – WITH LUXURIOUS DREAMS

My name is Ayesha Alexis Kaikai.  I am 13 years old, born on June 23 2005 to Jemillatu Lewally-Stober and Abubakar Kaikai.

I live in Freetown, Sierra Leone with my mother and sister. In my spare time I love to read, sketch, listen to music and dance or just relax.

At  7,  I dreamt of having my own business. By the time I turned 12 years old, I knew exactly the type of business that I wanted to run. Someday I hope to have my own kind of Bath and Body works- a luxury brand- My own , shea inspired business.

My growing business is called Kai Luxury! Kai Luxury is designed to meet the demands of young girls and young women to look good. In my head I think of it this way- My coat of many colours- a combination of clothes and body products for young girls or young women.

The goal for Kai luxury is to go big and launch stores . I am on a mission to share with others my PASSION.  This is something that I really love . I am totally into self-care .

My message is simple:

Be comfortable and happy in your own skin.

I  call myself an ENTREPRENEUR.  Why? Because at such a young age I am putting in the work! On a daily basis, I  put so much effort and work into making this dream of mine come true.  I know that success means hard work. How else would I create a great business from what started out as an idea.

Some people argue about Entrepreneurs been born or developed, want to know my take?

I think entrepreneurs are developed, I say this because people are usually influenced growing up by their surroundings or a certain event in their lives. For example I grew up around beautiful, strong, independent women. This made me want to be like them. It showed me that I could do whatever I put my mind to. Age wasn’t a factor!

“Mind is a flexible mirror, adjust it, to see a better world.” – Amit Ray

I do think my mindset has a lot to do with the direction of my life because I am a positive person. I am not a quitter, and when I put my mind to something I do everything in my power to make it possible.

I am inspired by ambition, a sense of purpose, the desire to live my life fully.

AND THEN…..

These three humans inspire me:

Number one is definitely my mother, because apart from her being my number one supporter; she inspires me because she is an independent woman.

She provides for her family, cares for her family,

Gives out more than enough of love to everyone.

Another person that inspires me is my grandmother from my mom’s side. She loves fashion and creating clothes for people, so she stuck to it and did what she loved for over 50 years of her life!

The third person who inspires me is Eva Gutowski . At a young age, she put her mind to becoming a you tuber and she did.   She loves fashion and created her own fashion line, that is a definition of beauty to girls and women.

To me education is very important , probably the most important thing

I believe education is something everyone needs . You need education to grow mentally . Education helps you to know who you are or who you want to be .

I am a firm believer, that education is the key to success. No  matter how hard it gets. Besides, I see the value of education.  As I hail from a line of educated women. My grandma from my dad’s side recently got a PhD. That’s shows how education is important to us.

Success in Business ! That’s a whole lot

  • Business demands brains!

  • You need to be smart.

  • You need to be motivated and stay motivated.

  • You need to have a reason or a goal.

I think it takes the skills of whatever you are doing in your business and last but not least it takes a good education.

The Journey has just started for me but I would love to see a tribe of young entrepreneurs.

Are you a teenager thinking of a start-up? A young person wondering whether you should go for it?

WASTE NO TIME.

As long as you know that it’s something you love or it’s something  you want or a dream of. Then I believe you should make it come true . Aim for the stars and nothing less.

Let no one else tell what you want and when to do it, this is the habit of dream killers. Especially in a country like ours where there  are not many opportunities or open minded people.

Be distinct -bring your creativity or gift into the world.

Inspire your peers , the future generation , your elders. You never know, it might be your ideas that will push your country further.Make a mark in the world.
